Jan: In den heute, Freitag, versendeten DSB Deutscher Sauna-Bund Verbandsinformationen steht ein (erstes) Grußwort der neuen Sauna-Bund & Sauna-Matti Geschäftsführerin Gerhild Neumann an die Mitglieder. „Die Digitalisierung und die inhaltliche Weiterentwicklung des Deutschen Sauna-Bundes haben für mich …höchste Priorität.“ Es gelte „gemeinsam Mehrwerte für …die Mitglieder zu schaffen“, „den Verband zukunftsfest aufzustellen und als starke Stimme der Branche weiter zu stärken“.

Update, 1. Jan: Seit Jahresbeginn 2026 amtiert die „Netzwerkerin“ Gerhild Neumann (44) als neue Doppel-Geschäftsführerin des Deutschen Sauna-Bundes e.V. und der Tochtergesellschaft Sauna-Matti GmbH.

In seinen an Silvester versendeten Verbandsinformationen Dezember hat der Verband noch einmal auf den Wechsel in den beiden Geschäftsführungen hingewiesen, nachdem erstmals am 1. Dezember 2025 via DSB Website darüber berichtet wurde.

Bislang ist diese Top-Personalie in der Sauna- & Wellness-Branche und in der (inter)nationalen Community noch nicht thematisiert worden, soweit ersichtlich.

Der zuletzt amtierende DSB und SM Geschäftsführer Martin Niederstein (59) war fünf Jahre, ab dem 1. Januar 2021, in dieser Funktion tätig. In die Dienste des Verbandes trat er bereits im Februar 2018, zunächst als „Betriebsberater für öffentliche Saunaanlagen“. Später arbeitete Niederstein auch als stellvertretender Geschäftsführer des Verbandes. „Kalter“ Abgang: Sein Ausscheiden und sein künftiges Tätigkeitsfeld werden in den aktuellen Verbandsinformationen Dezember und in der Sauna-Bund Website-Mitteilung vom 1. Dezember nicht erwähnt.

SISU Update v. 1. Dez: Mit Gerhild Neumann, seit 2018 eine der beiden stellvertretenden Vorsitzenden der agbad, übernimmt nach Dr. Werner Fritzsche, Rolf-Andreas Pieper und Martin Niederstein zum ersten Mal eine Frau die Führungsverantwortung im Deutschen Sauna-Bund und bei Sauna-Matti.

Die agbad, „eine Kooperation von öffentlichen Sport- und Erlebnisbädern und Saunen aller Betriebstypen“, „in Kooperation mit dem Verband kommunaler Unternehmen (VKU NRW)“, vertritt über 500 Einrichtungen und arbeitet künftig eng mit der DGfdB Deutschen Gesellschaft für das Badewesen (knapp 1.700 Mitglieder) zusammen. Der Deutsche Sauna-Bund hatte Ende 2024 circa 650 Mitglieder.

Zuletzt, ab Juni 2025, war Neumann als „Fachreferentin Bädermanagement“ (Teilzeit) bei NEWmobil & aktiv Mönchengladbach (Nordrhein-Westfalen) tätig. Von 2011 bis 2025 arbeitete sie als „Leiterin Bäderbetrieb“ bei den Stadtwerken Osnabrück.

Gerhild Neumann hat ein Diplom Wirtschafts- und Sozialwissenschaften an der TU Dortmund erworben; vom Deutschen Sauna-Bund ist sie als Diplom-Kauffrau vorgestellt worden.

Juli, schrieb der DSB Deutsche Sauna-Bund die Position der Doppel-Geschäftsführung ab 2026 für den Verband und die Tochtergesellschaft SM Sauna-Matti öffentlich aus. Update, 17. Sep: Die Bewerbungsfrist für die ausgeschriebene Doppel-Stelle „Geschäftsführung“ Deutscher Sauna-Bund/Sauna-Matti endete vor einem Monat. Zur geplanten neuen Geschäftsführung ab 2026 von DSB Deutschem Sauna-Bund und SM Sauna-Matti liegen noch keine Verlautbarungen vor. Es ist damit zu rechnen, dass diese Top-Personalie spätestens auf der nächsten Mitgliederversammlung des Verbandes am 23. Oktober in Dortmund zur Sprache kommen wird.
