Seit Freitag und bis Pfingstsonntagabend fand der Natural Aufguss Cup mit 31 (inter-) nationalen Teilnehmerinnen und Teilnehmern in der Saunawelt des aquabasilea in Pratteln bei Basel statt. Es gab die  Kategorien Single und Team. Mit dabei waren u.a. Jade Coulombe (Kanada), Barbora Brozova, Mark Badura (Tschechien), Greet van Boostraeten, Marc Taupitz (Belgien), Diana und Andreas Weiß sowie Timo Krensel (Deutschland). Es waren insgesamt 15 Nationen vertreten. Eine internationale Jury aus sechs?/acht? Personen bewertete die 31 Wettbewerb-Performances (Freitag und Pfingstsamstag je zwölf und Pfingstsonntag sieben) in der neuen Eventsauna mit einer Kapazität für über 120 Personen. Moderiert wurde das Event von Sabine Rauh, die bei der Deutschen Aufgussmeisterschaft die gleiche Aufgabe übernehmen wird.

Am gleichen Ort, vom 14. bis 16. Juli, findet die nationale Qualifikation für die AUFGUSS WM im September statt.

Das aquabasilea, „die vielfältigste Wasser- und Wellness- Welt der Schweiz“, gehört zur Thermengruppe Schauer + Co. aus Überlingen (Baden-Württenberg).

Update, 19. Mai: Auf FB & IG gibt es eine Lobeshymne des DSB Deutschen Sauna-Bundes auf das gestern zu Ende gegangene zweiwöchige Herbarium Festival in der Therme Bukarest (Rumänien). Der Verband war mit „drei talentierten Aufgießenden“ vertreten. Wer diese drei gewesen sind, wird allerdings nicht erwähnt. In einem Post des Bahia Bocholt vor drei Tagen wurde „unsere Imke“ (Timmermann) als eine Festival-Teilnehmerin benannt.

Nota: Cosmin Nicolae (Ciric), Wellness Manager der Therme Bukarest, ist auch Jury-Mitglied bei der diesjährigen DAM Deutschen Aufguss-Meisterschaft Ende Juni im SATAMA Saunaresort & Spa, Wendisch Rietz (Brandenburg).
